Nathaniel Reichek, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.H.A., is the Director of Research at St. Francis Hospital and Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has been a pioneer in research in echocardiography and in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and is a past president of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and has served the American College of Cardiology in numerous roles. Dr. Reichek has chaired peer review activities for the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology and has served on the editorial boards of all of the major U.S. Cardiology Journals. He has published over 170 original research reports and over 300 abstracts, mainly in the field of cardiac imaging. His trainees include a number of leading investigators and teachers in echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
