Biography:
Philip Marcus, M.D. M.P.H., is the Chief of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at St. Francis Hospital and his duties include Medical Director of the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit, Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, and Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy. He is the founding physician of Nassau Chest Physicians, P.C., an eleven physician and two nurse practitioner group. He is also the Clinical Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and serves as Associate Dean of Curriculum Development. Dr. Marcus has lectured regionally, nationally and internationally on asthma and COPD and has conducted clinical trials in the areas of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He is a past president of the American Lung Association of Nassau-Suffolk.
